Data Storage Tapes
How I can back up data from PC to a VHS tape?
First, let me start by saying that I am well aware this is ridiculous inefficient, such as magnetic tape storage not random access. That said, I think it would be fun, at least the possibility of a backup few things to a VHS tape. Does anyone know how? I know it was done in the past, and with an analog output card connected to a VCR, I think it should be possible. Any suggestions?
The man who really should have some time on their hands ……. well, theres two ways u can go: 1. will find a program that to read and write data to a vhs through an analog output (TV out, I suppose) through optical encryption, then you'd still need a tv-missing since youd order to access the data backup, you do not ?……. best shot at writing Tho I guess you 2. finding an old vhs manufacturer base Datasette "-drives "From the bottom of the Internet in addition to an adapter that allows you to perform the RS232 plug in your USB port modern day and then find the right software to run, or build one yourself again and again write their own software for it as ,….. to see that it is not impossible, but it is a matter of how much energy you want to put in this thing, if you think that u can do it, go for it and publish their results online, but if your not at home detention by law (parents included) for a year or something let me put it this way, is a piece of cake that are not available, great idea, the use of resources creavtive (20gigs on a VHS, up to 44.4G), but such ull time only get one additional USB hardrive if you want to back something to that size, or look in zipdrives so long ……
